The Iceland Osteopathic Association (Osteopatafelag islands) was founded in 2002. Its main purpose is to promote and protect otseopathic interests in Iceland. Today there are only 4 qualified osteopaths in Iceland who are all registered with the Iceland Osteopathic Association. Despite its small size the Association achieved the recognition of osteopathy as a fully registered health profession with the Iceland Ministry of Health.
